Dogs are only allowed in our “Double Queen Cabin w/ Shared Patio” room type. If you don’t see this room type listed for your desired dates it means that we’re unfortunately sold out.
(Please note that the “Double Queen Cabin w/ Shared Patio” room type is different from a “Double Queen Cabin”.
Dogs are not allowed in Double Queen Cabins.)

You bet! Spa access is complimentary to all bunk room guests.
Great question! Each bunk has a large secure storage box at the head of the bed, which can easily fit a small backpack, briefcase, camera and laptop. If you need additional storage, the community room has large lockable cabinets that can fit just about any large-sized luggage (they’re really big). These are free to use for bunk room guests, on a first come, first serve basis. We encourage you to bring your own lock to secure your cubby and/or storage cabinet: otherwise we have some available at the front desk for a small fee. Got a snowboard, skis or other large equipment that needs a safe place to stay for the night? Talk to the front desk, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Absolutely. If you prefer to have a couple more layers at night, just ask the front desk and we’re happy to provide additional blankets.
Bunk Room guests have access to two shared mini-fridges, a sink and a food prep area in the community room. Please label your food/drink with your name and the current date.
Nope! All Society Hotel bunk rooms are co-ed, and all humans are welcome. If you’re hoping for more privacy, we recommend checking out one of our standard rooms or cabins!
The Columbia Gorge is a thoroughfare for passenger & freight trains, both of which can make a bit of noise. We’re currently in the process of working with local government to create a “quiet zone” in Bingen that will eliminate any horn usage nearby. In the meantime, we include a pair of comfortable earplugs and have noise machines available to help with the inevitable sound of passing trains at night in case you’re a light sleeper!
As our bunk room is intended for travelers, we are unable to accommodate residents of the Hood River/White Salmon area, and their residence cannot be within 50 miles of Bingen. Government-issued ID showing residence outside of this area is required upon check-in. You’re still more than welcome to stay in our Schoolhouse or Cabin accommodations!
All guests staying in the bunk rooms must be 18 years of age or older. No guests under the age of 18 are allowed inside the bunk rooms.
